Coordinator of Behavior Services – Adult Services (BCBA)
Job Purpose: The Coordinator of Behavior Services – Adult Services ensures the development, implementation, and oversight of effective behavior intervention programs that support individuals across all settings at Crystal Springs, Inc. within the Adult Services division. The Coordinator plays a critical role in promoting positive behavioral outcomes, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Behavior Services – Adult Services is responsible for overseeing the implementation of individualized behavior support plans and programming in Crystal Springs, Inc.’s day habilitation, residential, and behavioral services. The role includes training staff, conducting assessments, ensuring plan fidelity, supervising Behavior Specialists and other behavioral staff, and maintaining compliance with local and national standards. The Coordinator collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and provides data-informed input to drive positive behavioral change and overall service quality. This role reports to the Director of Behavioral Services and supervises the Behavior Specialists
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) based on functional assessments and best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Supports, and trauma-informed care.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), functional analyses, and use observational/standardized assessment tools to inform behavioral interventions.
- Oversee and ensure accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of behavioral data, including ABC data, incident reports, and treatment outcomes to assess the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and inform decision-making.
- Deliver training and coaching to direct care staff and interdisciplinary team members on ABA principles, BSP implementation, crisis prevention techniques, and data collection methodologies.
- Work closely with program staff and leadership to create a cohesive behavioral support system that promotes consistent use of behavior strategies and long-term success of interventions.
- Maintain on-going, proactive assessment of the implementation of behavioral policies, procedures, and protocols with particular emphasis on health and safety and assist with formulating corrective actions for any identified deficiencies.
- Attend ISPs, treatment team reviews, intake meetings, and other interdisciplinary discussions to present behavioral data, progress, determine appropriate placement, and case assignments.
- Assist in the hiring and onboarding of Behavior Specialists and provide direct supervision to assigned Behavior Specialists, interns, and other behavior personnel (including RBTs and BCaBAs), ensuring appropriate oversight and development.
- Provide on-call (outside of standard hours) and in-person crisis support, including active involvement in de-escalation strategies and physical interventions when necessary.
- Participate in intake evaluations and planning for new individuals in the absence of the Director of Behavioral Services.
- Ensure documentation and program implementation meet standards set by CARF, MassHealth, DDS, and other governing bodies.
- Model and uphold the ethical standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and Crystal Springs, Inc.’s policies regarding respectful and therapeutic environments.
- Functions as an ambassador and liaison for Crystal Springs, Inc.
- Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.

Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- BCBA certification.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-graduate experience assessing, implementing, developing, and overseeing behavior intervention programs and Functional Behavior Assessments.
- Experience working with people with special needs or in a residential care setting.
- Experience in Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), Trauma-Informed Care, and ABA strategies preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and non-violent physical intervention certifications must be obtained within 3 months of hire and maintained during employment.
- Must have an active driver’s license in state of residence that is current, valid, and in good standing with reliable transportation.
- Software Skills · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. · Ability to learn and use other software related to the position such as web-based portals, etc.
Travel Demands: Local travel is required to ensure individual needs are met.
